Russian Video: Alexander Rozenbaum 'Waltz Boston'!

Just a beautiful video: Russian city Novosibirsk (central park), Autumn and Alexander Rozenbaum sings his beautiful song “Waltz Boston”:

Russian Lyrics and English translation of the Alexander Rozenbaum song “Waltz Boston”:

Upon a carpet of yellow leaves
In a simple dress
Of crepe borrowed from the wind
She danced in courtyard the Autumn waltz – Boston,
The warm day flew on as the saxophone sang
And from all around people came to us,
And from all the eaves birds flew up,
Dancers of gold beating their wings…
How long ago, how long ago, the music played there!

How often I see the dream, my wonderful dream,
In which Autumn dances for us the Boston waltz!
There the leaves fall down,
The plastic records twirl:
“Don’t go, be with me, you’re my caprice…”
How often I see the dream, my wonderful dream,
In which Autumn dances for us the Boston waltz!

Drunken from enjoyment, of forgotten years,
Old home, long-beloved in its youth,
All its walls are lurching, its windows broken,
And to all those who lived there, it gave this wonder.
But when the sounds of in the gloom of night have quieted down –
Everything has its end, its beginning, –
Autumn mourned sadly
With small showers…
Ah, how sad is this waltz,
How nice it was there!

Have a beautiful Autumn!

Russian Video: Poplars Cotton Season!

Hello,

Kyle just published this picture:
In Moscow Russia we Have “Summer Snow” (The pukh season!) And I want to continue his story with a good video from Russia Today.

I just would like to correct Russia Today: Poplar’s cotton seeds are not allergen!

For our readers who wants to know more:

If we talk about allergenic trees, then we need to put birch, and alder, filbert, maple, ash on the first place. The poplar, which is accused to be allergen, really, does not cause allergies at all. It’s seeds could be irritating but not allergen!

Among urban trees the poplar is a leader in the purification of the air, as a kind of air janitor. According to the amount of absorbed carbon dioxide and oxygen produced, the poplar has no equal.

According to the forest industry: the poplar at the age of 25 years, from May to September absorbs 44 kg of carbon dioxide, while for the oak, this figure is 28, for the limes – 16, for Pine – 10, for ate – 6 kg.

The poplar satiates air ozone in the atmosphere by providing a large number of phytoncides and aromatic oils.

The poplar is a great doctor. It belongs to the category of immunotropic plants. Staying in the populus woods helps a person to develop immunity to infectious diseases. And sticky poplar’s leaves and fragrant spring buds have strong healing properties.

So let’s forgive irritation of poplar’s seeds – this is a great tree!

Russian Video: Moscow Spring (25th March)!

Hello,

That is Spring in Moscow! Do you expect to see first spring flowers on this video? Maybe I’ll disappoint you but no flowers yet. But it’s the end of March and still snow here. But that is Spring: you feel it in the air, you smell it, you feel already warm sun beams on your cheek. That is Spring in Moscow!

For our readers who wants to know more:

We have a very good Russian writer who wrote mostly about nature: Mikhail Mikhailovich Prishvin (1873 – 1954). He wrote that there are three periods of spring: “Spring of Light”, “Spring of Water” and “Spring of Grass”… So it looks like we still in “Spring of Light” period! 😉

This unique Man survived three big wars. But he managed to save his inner light he diffused in life and his wonderful books. One of such books, an autobiographic story “Hunt For Happiness”, ends with a quotation from Leo Tolstoy’s book. Mikhail Prishvin could easily confirm the truth of the words: “A man is obliged to be happy. If he is unhappy he is to be blame for this. He must do everything he can to get rid of this discomfort or mistake. If a man is unhappy, he will face a lot of unsolved questions, such as, for what I live, what’s the need for this world and the like. But if he’s happy, thank you for nothing, and wish you the same”. (link)

We could not find any free Michail Prishvin’s stories translated in English in Internet, just can give you a link to Amazon where you can buy some of Michail Prishvin’s books in English.
