Moscow Russia and Her Therapy!

Svet shoot this video next day after the tragedy. I took what she shot with her camera and removed the static background sound. Added a beautiful piece of music called Serenity Funeral! It came out pretty good for a bumbling bear like me…
Good to watch and absorb facts that people die everyday because of senseless acts of violence…
I hope you like it!

The Town of Suzdal, Part of the Russian Soul!

All I know about this video is that it is about a town called Suzdal and like many Russian towns it is beautiful. It comes from cortezawwris’s Channel on YouTube and they say it was their first video. I like it and it has the feel of the real Russia that I talk about so many times. The music is Christmas song – Kaliadka. This is what Russia looks like as you travel.

Suzdal is part of the soul of Russia…

Russian Video of 'Tonkaya Ryabina' – 'Thin Rowan-tree'

Hello,

I found a video that encompasses the soul of Russia and will make you stop! It will stir something inside you and cause a yearning. A Russian folk song has a sad intertwining depth that can bring a tear to the eye. Yet at the same time it will entice the person to grasp and embrace a song that you can not even understand the words to.

Watch the video, better yet close your eyes and listen to the video. You will find that your senses will extract the desired properties and that Russia has a soul that goes back into history farther than you knew…

The name of the song is ‘Tonkaya Ryabina’, which means ‘Thin Rowan-tree‘ in English.
The song is about woman’s mourning for her loneliness.

That is why we love Russia…

In Russia They Have Vitas – The Star!

Hello,

I very rarely find a young performer that I care to listen to. They all seem to “grate on my nerves” so to speak. This young man known as Vitas and he caught my attention. The first video is a song that I enjoyed and the second video shows an incredible high note for anyone, much less a guy…
So lets watch:

Vitas – The Star!
Витас – Зведа

Latvian-born Russian pop singer Vitas:
Vitaliy “Vitalik” Vladasovich Grachyov (Russian: Виталий Владасович Грачёв, Vitalij Vladasovič Gračëv; born 19 February 1979, Daugavpils, Latvian SSR), better known by his stage name Vitas (pronounced /ˈviːˌtɑːs/; Russian: Витас), is a Russian pop singer, composer, actor, and fashion designer. Because of his fame on the Internet, he is sometimes known as Bumac, Bumac Vitas or Vitas Varnas in English (his name in Cyrillic cursive, Витас, “Витас”, appears identical to English Bumac, “Bumac”). He has a huge following and his fans adore him. I watched several of his videos on YouTube and he is really good…

In Russia: The Epiphany, or the Baptism of Christ!

Hello,

Orthodox Christians are celebrating one of the main religious holidays of the year – the Epiphany, or the baptism of Christ. It is believed that on this day water becomes holy and is able to wash away sins and diseases.

This video is really very good. It shows a monastery that Svetlana and I have been to before. In fact it is the same Monastery that our friends from America got to explore and were fascinated by the complexity of the Orthodox Religion!

Russian Video From Russia: The Modern Cossacks – With an Ancient Flare!

Hello,

Lets watch a video that tells about the Don Cossacks and what they are up to in this modern times. It tells a little bit about their past and their importance to Russia…

No Cossack would go into battle without getting a blessing in church.

The Cossack army fought in almost all the wars waged by the Russian Empire. After the revolution of 1917, a third of the Don Cossacks – around half a million people – were killed or deported by the Bolsheviks. But now the Cossack host here on the Don is seeing a revival.

“We live in the modern world, we run businesses, and we don’t ride around with sabers. But we’ve kept the Cossack spirit, our Orthodox faith, our love for the Don, and loyalty to Russia,” says Vladimir Voronin. (Link)

From what we read, the Cossacks are an ancient amazing people that have loved and fought for Mother Russia to the death – many times…
