Russian Video: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson (Movie: Deadly Fight)!

As always at weekends we’ll watch a full-time movie. Today on Russian Video from Russia we continue watching our Sherlock Holmes series. That is the second part of the second Russian movie about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Let me explain: the first Russian (really Soviet) movie about Sherlock Holmes was made in 1979 and we already watched it: Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.

The second TV movie about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson was made in 1980. That’s “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson”. We already watched the first part of this movie The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson (The Master-Blackmailer).

Today we are watching the second part of the movie “Deadly Fight” (based on The Adventure of the Final Problem).

This movie “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson” divided on three episodes: “The Master-Blackmailer“, “Deadly Fight“, “Hunt for the Tiger“. And we will watch them all!

We are glad to find out that the whole set of Russian Sherlock Holmes movies (6 DVDs) is still available. Check it:

Russian Video: Ice Swimmers (Моржи) in Russia!

Hello,

Today we continue watching unusual people! Have you ever swam outdoor in winter? I, never. But in Russia we have people who do it regularly, we call them моржи (морж – walrus). They really believe that ice swimming is good for them, so do I. I believe that for them it’s possibly good but not for everybody. But let’s better watch this documentary:

Do you know some ice swimming lover? Do you think to swim in ice-cold water is good for you? for everybody?

Russian Video: "All Flags" – Children Festival!

Hello,

I think our children are our future and for this future it’s important how they will be brought up, what ideals and ideas they will be given. Recently, I found this cute video (I really like videos about kids and kids’ life) and felt good about our future. I see kids at least in Russian school get ideas about international friendship, that’s reminded me my soviet childhood how we were taught to be friends with all peoples in the world. This video is a little part of Festival’s concert “All Flags are Our Guests” what had place in one of Moscow schools. We are watching a video of elementary school kids (7-10 years old). All classes was involved in this Festival. But the youngest kids are always the best to watch!

This video did inspirit us an we hope it inspirits you too. A Russian 84 years lady Elena Sizova who lives in a a central Russian village Georgievskoe still works and her job (for last 17 years) is… better watch this video!

Russian Video: The Cow (Korova) A Cartoon by Alexander Petrov!

Recently, when we watched a beautiful video from Dolphin (Russian Video: Dolphin (Snow)!) when a man was panting on glass I remembered about Alexander Petrov (a movie director who makes his famous cartoons in paint-on-glass technique) and realized that we did not watch all his cartoons. So today we want to correct it and we will watch his another famous cartoon: “The cow”(Корова), made him in 1989 in his famous technique paint-on-glass. “The cow”(Korova) was nominee for Oscar in 1990. So let’s watch one more beautiful, sad and wise masterpiece by Aleksander Petrov:

Hello,

Last night, we watched a sad video: accident on Russian road (4 people died). I think it could happen in any country any time (We just wanted to tell all our readers: Please, Be Cautious! The world needs You!)

Be honest, I liked the song in the video and made some research about it… Today on Russian Video from Russia we will watch a beautiful original clip of the song. The name of the song is Snow (Снег):

The video “SNOW” is the result of teamwork of Andrey Lysikov Russian poet and musician, known by his stage name Dolphin (Дельфин) and the painter Oleg Lavrishev from Nizhniy Novgorod. Dolphin told: “The plot of the video is parting. The painter was just drawing on aglass in real time and the camera was filming from the other side and fixing all the painting process.”
