Russian Video: Barneo – the Artic Camp in Russia!

Hello,

Finally, even I can tell that the spring has sprung in Moscow. That’s why when we are warm and comfy here in Moscow we can watch a video about Russian Camp Barneo – an Arctic Riviera in Russia!

For our readers who wants to know more:

Camp Barneo (Russian Лагерь Барнео) is an ice drift base about 100 km (60 miles) from the North Pole, first established in 1993. As of April 2007 it was located at [show location on an interactive map] 89°31.5′N 30°27′W / 89.525°N 30.45°W / 89.525; -30.45. However, northerly winds cause the camp to drift toward the southeast at a speed of 0.8 km/h. (More information you can find in Wikipedia)

What is in Barneo right now Barneo 2009 Chronicle – a very interesting site I highly recommend you to look!

Maybe some of our readers would love to visit Barneo, as for me I’ll better enjoy my spring in Moscow.

Best wishes for everyone,
