PS Blockade – the name of the movie made by Sergei Loznitsa. No name of war no name of city what was blockaded. Of course, we all know this movie is about Seige of Leningrad.

After the premiere of “Blockade” at the Rotterdam Film Festival the audience was stunned and did not want to leave the room. ‘Did you know, – an old Dutchman asked Sergey Loznica – that you told the story not only of Leningrad but Rotterdam also? Our city was destroyed, but, unfortunately, there were no operators, who could capture this tragedy.”

Russian Video: Alex Griffith Builds Playground for Hospital in Krasnoyarsk!

Hello,

A video today is a pleasure for me! I watched this video on the 1st channel of Russian TV and it impressed me very much!

Let me to tell you whole story. A Russian boy Alex Griffith was left by his biological mother and first year of his life he spent in a hospital in Krasnoyarsk, (Siberia, Russia), then a couple from USA adopted him. Now he is 15 years old and he came to visit Russia. And his idea was not just to come to Russia but make some present to motherland and he decided to build a playground for kids in the hospital in Krasnoyarsk. The project took several years: First he collected money for his project by himself then he made a site in Internet and all together with his readers they collect enough money for a very decent playground. Now he and his parents are in Krasnoyarsk and he realizes his project, teenagers in Krasnoyarsk joined to them and help to build this playground… and doctors in hospital (where Alex spent the first year of his life) remember him and his parents and are very proud of him!

Personally, me… I can not express my feelings I am so glad and happy that such people like Alex and his parents live among us . Thank you!

Russian Video: Record-Breaking Strong-Man of 80!

Hello,

This video can make you happy. I personally admire videos about old people who are in very good shape. This 80 years old man from Dagestan can do unbelievable things. Abdurahman can carry a railway car, lift more than 100 kilos by hands and shows incredible dental power!

I am always very proud for such people! Such videos can really help you: When you watch such people you ask yourself if they can do it why I could not do at least half of it!

Another my favorite person is Valentin Dikul. Read his unusual story here: Svet Sundays: Strong people of Russia – Valentin Dikul!
