Beautiful Russia: Kenozerye National Park!

Hello,

Today we are watching a very beautiful and interesting video from Russian National Park “Kenozerye”. If you are interested to watch everyday Russian life, if you like documentary movies about nature – this video worth to watch! We watched whole this long movie 26 minutes with great interest!

Short information about Kenozerye:

A secluded corner of the ancient Russian North and all its traditions has been preserved deep in the taiga forests of Arkhangelsk Province – far from the destructive forces of wars, revolutions, cities, and roads. Here, forested hills line the sinuous shore of the enormous Lake Kenozero, broken only by the occasional pastoral village lolling along its shore. To the south, the oval of Lake Lekshmozero interrupts dense stands of spruce, pine, and deciduous trees growing on knolls throughout in the park. Rounded silhouettes of sacred groves with stands of ancient trees dot the shores of the two lakes. Quaint wooden chapels with dome-shaped ceilings painted with images of saints keep vigil on hillsides and in valleys, having been restored to their original beauty. Today, all these treasures are protected in Kenozersky National Park, making the reserve a haven for nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike – offering boating, hiking, cultural and historical attractions, and comfortable accommodations.

There are 322 species of terrestrial vertebrates in Kenozersky National Park, including 50 kinds of mammals and 263 birds. Fourteen species of predators inhabit the park….

A Walk In Tsaritsyno (Царицыно)!

Hello,

Yesterday we walked in Tsaritsyno [the name means Tsar’s = Place what belongs to Tcar] that is a very beautiful park and an interesting museum with a lot of exhibitions… And tonight we found a very good video to show you this wonderful place. Maybe late we’ll make our own video. But today:

I wish you were here…

For our readers who wants to know about this wonderful place more:

In the southern part of Moscow, twenty minutes away from downtown by car, lay the lands of the State Museum-Reserve Tsaritsyno. Its nucleus is the largest palatial ensemble in Russia – the residence of Catherine the Great constructed between 1775 and 1796 by the famous Russian architects Vasiliy Bazhenov and Matvey Kazakov in the romantic “gothic taste”. A beginning of the XIX century landscape park is located nearby. Its trees overlook the waters of the Upper Tsaritsyno pond, which together with the Shipilovsky and Borisovsky ponds form the largest cascade of ponds in Moscow. Tsaritsyno is the largest museum-reserve and historical and cultural monument of the federal level in Moscow, occupying over 700 hectares. A tremendously rich complex of architectural objects is gathered here – the historic village sites, plowed fields, barrows dated from the VI thousand years B.C. to the beginning of the XII century. These parts remember the Streshnev family boyars, Golitsin and Kantemirov princely families, Catherine the Great and her brilliant associates, and many of the distinguished Russian statesmen of the XIX and XX centuries. Following the death of Catherine the Great the architectural idea was not completed. Over the two hundred years the palatial ensemble had turned into majestic ruins…

The restoration of the Grand Palace, the former great historical ruin, was completed in 2007. Large-scale restoration and landscaping of the park and the ponds was also carried out. Tsaritsyno, a jewel of Russian culture, has a grand future.

If you want to know even more we strongly recommend you to visit a site of this State Museum-Reserve Tsaritsyno.

Best wishes,

Video of A Peaceful Russian Village!

Hello,

Maybe you remember that we visited our village a couple or three weeks ago. Maybe some of you read a sweet Kyle’s article about Sunrise in the village (by the way the official name of this village is Sunrise to Freedom!) Recently, we made a slide show to show you more sites of our village. Yesterday we discovered Veoh one more place in Internet where you can upload your video and they warranties that the quality of your video stays good.

So today we watch a very good slide show (I hope you agree with me) and test a new video system! (You can compare a quality this video on Veoh with quality of the same video on GoogleVideo we published it in our MainBlog)

Best wishes and

News from Russia: Video of cute ducklings!

Hello,

Been a city person I love nature, cherish any moment what we can spend watching the nature… That’s why we made so many “Duck’s videos” here and here.. Time goes ahead and today ducks in this pond already swim with little funny ducklings. It was so much fun to watch them! We made a little movie about them trying to share it with you. The ducklings’ life is just happiness! Watch the video and be happy the same way like these little ducklings :))).

For this video we used the famous Italian song “Il ballo del qua qua” by Al Bano and Romina Power.

For our readers who wants to know more about this duck and her ducklings:

We really were stunned how well these ducks can dive!

The Common Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula) is a medium sized sea duck of the genus Bucephala, the goldeneyes. Their closest relative is the similar Barrow’s goldeneye.

Adult males ranges from 45-52 cm (18-21 inches) and from 888 to 1400 grams (1.9 to 3.1 lbs), while females range from 40-50 cm (16-20 inches) and from 500 to 1182 grams (1.1 to 2.6 lbs). The species is aptly named for its golden-yellow eye. Adult males have a dark head with a greenish gloss and a circular white patch below the eye, a dark back and a white neck and belly. Adult females have a brown head and a mostly grey body. Their legs and feet are orange-yellow.

Their breeding habitat is the taiga. They are found in the lakes and rivers of boreal forests across Canada and the northern United States, Scandinavia and northern Russia.
To read more about this ducks you can here.

Have a good weekend try to find time to enjoy nature!
