Recently, I’ve discover this Russian Performance Ballet Group “Exiton”!These kids are incredible! Exiton was founded 20 years ago in in Russian city Ulyanovsk. For their history they’ve got 60 Grand Prix in dance competitions all over the world!I personally think that the kids dance better than professionals in Bolshoi Theater.
I just admire them!
Kyle told:“They are like a bunch of Mexican jumping beans!”
Exiton shows their tricks!
For our readers who wants to know more:
Exiton has a webblog in Russian: http://blogs.mail.ru/bk/bartkaytis/
An exhibition in honor of the 100th anniversary of Diaghilev’s “Ballets Russes” has opened at Moscow’s Tretyakov gallery.
Over 500 items connected with the most significant figure in Russian ballet and the history of ballet will be exposed at the “Dance Vision” display.
Almost 50 original costumes, including constructivist costumes designed by Mikhail Larionov for “Chout” ballet (to the music by Sergei Prokofiev) and hand-painted suits for “Le Chant du Rossignol” designed by Henri Matisse are on display. There is even an original curtain brought from London created to a design by Pablo Picasso.
But we truly think that’s better 1 time to watch (even video in Russian) then just read about this interesting Diaghilev’s ‘Ballets Russes’ 100 Anniversary Exhibition. So let’s watch the video about this exibition from NTV Russian TV cannel:
Today we are watching a very interesting old documentary about Russian outstanding ballet couple: Ekaterina Maximova and Vladimir Vasliev. They met each other when they just got to ballet school and they were together for whole life!
The outstanding Russian ballerina Ekaterina Maksimova died at 70… You know I found hundreds of videos with Ekaterina Maximova but today I want to show you a video where Ekaterina Maximova and her (future) husband Vladimir Vasiliev are just kids – kids in ballet school and everything is ahead, everything is still in future!
E. Maximova and V.Vasiliev are so young and so nice (1953)
